2.                   PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

               The purpose of this position is to provide solution oriented Consultative Training, Technical

               Support, and Troubleshooting with bioMerieux’s diagnostic product line. Manage and

               generate organic revenue growth of bioMerieux reagents and software applications in the existing

               customer accounts.   

                                                                                                                                                                                               

3.                   CONTEXT OF THE JOB AND MAJOR CHALLENGES:

a)       Working conditions include exposure to infectious and biohazard materials.

b)       Adherence to FDA and regulatory guidelines for diagnostic testing.

a)       Working well with a team is required.

b)       Balance fiscal responsibility while maintaining client satisfaction within territory assignment.

c)       Responsible for efficient territory management and an expense budget.

d)       Responsible for assisting sales to achieve territory goals. 

5.                   MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

                 1) Integration of bioMerieux diagnostic products into new and existing client institutions.

 

a)       Design and execute implementation plan with client and field team.

b)       Implement client-training plan.

c)       Facilitate intradepartmental communication to maximize patient solutions within institution.

d)       Track book-to-live process.

e)       Design competency-testing program for client.

f)        Introduce additional bioMerieux products to resolve workflow needs.

 

         2) Provide Consultative Solutions for clients and prospects.

 

a)       Assess clients’ business objectives.

b)       Facilitate test kit selections, workflow design and disease management strategies.

c)       Suggest & Implement Laboratory workflow solutions.

 

         3) Report Sales productivity and client feedback

 

a)       Track critical / lost accounts.

b)       Troubleshoot process and product issues.

c)       Design and coordinate solutions for client.

d)       Provide evaluation support for product comparisons.

e)       Report industry and market trends.

f)        Report client satisfaction and needs.

g)       Track Territory disposable revenue by Account and implement action plans in any account whose YTD sales may be down versus the previous year.  Primary focus should be in the territories Top 20% of accounts that generate 80% of the territory’s revenue.  This would include all reagents of assigned product lines.

         4) Create new revenue opportunities.

a)        Prospect & Qualify leads for new instrument revenue.

b)       Promote bioMérieux products and services through product demonstrations, evaluations, or Site Visits.

c)        Work with client to increase disposable utilization.

d)       Develop strategy for ongoing client satisfaction, retention and testimonials.

e)        Capitalize on relationship opportunities for cross selling reagent opportunities.

f)         Provide technical sales expertise by assisting the Microbiology Specialist with the technical close during product presentations.

g)       Analyze territory for revenue opportunities.

6.                   KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:

Provide details about the knowledge, skills, and experience required to fill the job, including those, which would enhance job performance but may not be required. 

KNOWLEDGE: 

a)       BS in Medical Technology desired or related science preferred with experience in: Microbiology or  Immunology. 

b)       3 years clinical Lab. experience preferred

c)       Knowledge of Laboratory workflow and fiscal operations.

d)       Knowledge of medical institution hierarchy.

e)      Knowledge of clinical bioMérieux products a plus.

 SKILLS:

 f)        Proficient computer skills.
